Six Sigma or 6 Sigma is a registered trademark of Motorola designating a structured management method aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of the processes. The Six Sigma method was first applied to industrial processes before being extended to all types of processes, including administrative, logistical, commercial and energy-saving. At the beginning of the years 2000, it was booming because of the complexity of organizations and the internationalization of processes that impose a global vision of problems.

The Six Sigma method is based on an approach based both on the client’s voice (surveys…) and on measurable (by indicators) and reliable data. This method is used in the process of reducing variability in production (or other) processes and at product level and aims to improve the overall quality of the product and services.
